Amazon will remove the series-anti-utopia, in which social networks destroyed the world
Last month, Nick Clarke Vindo’s book The Feed was posted on the shelves of online stores, including Amazon. It tells about the world of an early future, in which the technology is so developed that the wireless communications have replaced the Internet directly in the human brain. The idea was so attractive that in Amazon decided to shoot a small series based on this book.
The new cinema promises to be even more rigid and uncompromising than the sensational “Electric dreams” based on the work of Philip K. Dick – a real anti-dentotype in the world that was ready to follow the path of cyberpunk. Down with smartphones, accounts and likes – people put in a single social network immediately their feelings, emotions and thoughts on this or that occasion. All are connected with all, communication channels are boiling, but suddenly the basic systems are collapsing. What awaits the world, which has already forgotten how to live differently?
The head of the project is the executive producer of “Walking Dead”, Channing Powell. The main work on the shooting was decided to instruct the British studio Studio Lambert. In the first season, they plan to limit themselves to 10 series, and they will not cover all the events of the book. The plot is quite possible to stretch for two or three seasons, believe in Amazon.
